Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Project Manager to join our team in the Ft. Meade, MD area.  

This is an exciting opportunity to support national security by delivering premier IT services for a mission-focused program. The Project Manager will lead and support customers in consolidating and relocating systems to various Agency Data Centers. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attend and run meetings: Collaboration with customers and service teams (Deployments, Engineering, Networks, etc.) to discuss Install, Move, Removal of equipment within Government Data Centers
  • Maintain tracking Spreadsheets and Generate Workbooks (Excel) to individually report on all Systems moving out of Government spaces to include Schedule/Timeline and Networks Connectivity Dependencies and Efforts
  • Service Now (SNOW) Ticketing System - tracking Service Teams’ work efforts (CHTASKs) to ensure tickets/efforts progress forward from conception to closure
  • Submit SNOW and PSC Tickets, as needed for Customers
  • Utilize Access database to manage and store all equipment within the organization
  • Acquire Preliminary Engineering Documentation from Customers/System Owners for Engineering Review
  • Report to the Customer Management Bi-Weekly on Room Closure progress / delays

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. 4 years of additional program management experience of similar scope, type, and complexity with the Federal Government may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • 9+ years of demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting for projects
  • PMP Certification is required
  • Demonstrated experience planning and leading customer meetings
  • Experience with ServiceNOW and/or JIRA or similar ticketing/tracking databases 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Specifically Excel, Word, Access)
     

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Agency Data Center procedures

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Must possess a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 70% of the time 
  • Occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, or communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual meetings, which may include delivering presentations 
  • The candidate should be able to move, carry, and deliver equipment in order to rack and stack in racks and or deliver hardware parts to various customer locations.
