BFC is looking for dynamic individuals with experience in project Scheduling.

Reports to: Project Controls Manager

Position: Full time

Schedule: Based on project requirements; Typically, a rotational schedule

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the project scheduling engineer will be responsible for planning, creating, and managing construction project schedules.


Supervisory Responsibilities: None


Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate


Duties/Responsibilities:

· Updating, analyzing and reporting progress in cost loaded schedules.

· Conducting monthly periodic review meetings with client and submission of periodic updates.

· Writing comprehensive reports/ narrative to define changes and reports submission to client.

· Understanding of project specifications to implement in project scheduling.

· Attend regular meetings and review the required information and schedule with construction team, recommend corrective actions for timely completion of projects.

· Create micro level projects and updates, to help construction teams in tracking the work.

· Help estimation department to create schedules for new projects.

· Assist the team on other relevant submittals and documents.

· Generate dashboards and project status reports for management.

· Any other relevant duties assigned by the Project Cost Controls Manager.


Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related field.

· 2-3 years of experience using the latest version of Primavera P6 preferred; USACE experience if a plus.

· Clear understanding of scheduling methods and techniques (such as CPM) required for analyzing and reporting of projects.

· Created large-scale construction projects, involved in projects updates and ability to identify and document changes, cost loading and resource leveling.

· Working knowledge of dashboards and other relevant techniques to represent forecast reports at management level.

· Working knowledge of RMS (Resident Management System) used at army core projects will be a plus.

· Ability to track project progress with less input from project managers or construction team.


Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
