Job description

WasteConnections has an immediate opening for an Operations Supervisor to join our team inClarksville, TN.

Our Operations Supervisor will work directly with the Operations Manager to formulate both short-term and long-term goals and action plans for the hauling company. We seek individuals with a leadership mentality and desire to grow with promotional opportunities in this role.

Schedule:~4:30am start time averaging approximately 10-11 hours/day.

Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assign and supervise work crews operating solid waste collection equipment.
  • Monitor progress of daily operations, reassign employees, and make staffing changes as necessary.
  • Helps develop, track, and execute safety goals.
  • Conducts field inspections and audits of all site personnel to ensure proper work procedures.
  • Receives and reviews customer complaints regarding collection programs.
  • Oversees a variety of complex compliance programs including environmental, OSHA, and local permitting.

Requirements:

  • Willing and able to obtain Class A or B CDL.
  • Must be able to relocate for promotional opportunities based on performance.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs repeatedly.
