Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a team of five direct reports using the MDI (Manage for Daily Improvement) process
- Provide coaching, feedback, and daily support
Quality Data & Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and report on Customer DPD (Defects per Delivery), Supplier PPM (Parts per Million), COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality), and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
Root Cause & Problem Solving:
- Champion the 8-Step problem-solving methodology
- Lead and support RCCA activities
Customer Focus:
- Understand customer requirements and integrate feedback into quality processes
Non-Conformance Management:
- Oversee the NCR process and ensure timely resolution
Supplier Quality:
- Monitor supplier performance and lead supplier-related root cause investigations
Engineering Collaboration:
- Partner with Engineering to track and resolve drawing improvements (ECMs)
Quality Systems & Documentation:
- Develop and implement quality procedures and standards
- Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation
- Implement relevant quality checks and processes (e.g., PPAP)
ISO 9001 Leadership:
- Lead the Thomasville site through ISO 9001 certification
Customer Returns:
- Manage Quality RMAs and drive corrective actions
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to improve quality performance and operational effectiveness
Culture & Leadership:
