Currently we are recruiting for an Injection Molding Process Technician. This position will provide the successful candidates with the chance to apply skills and work as a team within a clean and safe environment.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Injection Molding Process Technician primary responsibility is to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping in assigned areas. Ensuring all policies, procedures and work instructions are utilized and adhered to by team members. Responsible for meeting the company’s goals, objectives and key measurables set yearly. Reports functionally to the Plant Manager.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Minimum High School Diploma.
  • Technical Certifications preferred but no required.
  • Safety Training.
  • Provide technical and processing support for machines up to 3300 ton.
  • Minimum 3-5 years - Operation of injection molding machinery.
  • Minimum 3-5years Injection Molding Environment.
  • Previous experience preferred leading in an injection molding environment.

Knowledge

The Injection Molding Process Technician Supervisor shall have direct working knowledge of the following:

  • Responsible for the set-up and processing adjustments of machines.
  • Familiar with IATF 16949 requirements, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Assertive, proactive, confident leadership.
  • People oriented (good interpersonal, writing and communication skills).
  • Computer Skills

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follows all safety, housekeeping, and company policies and procedures.
  • Lead, support and advise direct reports.
  • Monitor training progress for direct and indirect team members.
  • Ensure proper initial set-up and process verification.
  • Initial set up include correct raw material and related components (for assembly when required).
  • Support machine process, make processing adjustments within tolerance and recommend any changes for improved efficiencies.
  • Continually monitor all processes related to injection molding.
  • Ensure all process parameters are met to manufacture parts to the quality standards including first piece approvals and last shots.
  • Schedule and direct hourly team members to production presses in manner that insures continuous support & flow in the molding bay for all production activity.
  • Schedule setup for production jobs for the oncoming shift to insure a smooth transfer of production activity between shifts.
  • Ensure that all hourly team members receive adequate training required to perform their job responsibilities with supporting documentation.
  • Ensure production requirements are fulfilled.
