Job description

Purpose Statement
The operator is responsible for setting up and changing equipment based upon product need, while adhering to all food safety and food quality guidelines.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
  1. Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment.
  2. Follows all established Good Manufacturing Practices, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area.
  3. Must be able to set up, change over, adjust, repair and operate all machinery and equipment.
  4. Ensures all equipment is in operating condition and ready for on time startup.
  5. Must have the knowledge and experience to make necessary adjustments to keep products flowing consistently.
  6. Performs process control and quality checks.
  7. Operates date coders and verifies code dates on cases.
  8. Cleans all equipment using current sanitation practices.
  9. Assists Quality Assurance in obtaining samples of products and other miscellaneous duties.
  10. Responsible for basic troubleshooting of all processing equipment.
  11. Responsible for accurate, timely and legible completion of daily production reports/documents.
  12. Trains new associates.
  13. Performs any other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  1. Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  2. High School Diploma or GED required.
  3. Must be able to take direction and follow instructions.
  4. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude; cooperate with co-workers, management, internal and external customers, as applicable.
  5. One year experience in a manufacturing/ industrial environment.
  6. Medium to high degree of judgment required.
  7. Maintain good attendance and punctuality. Follow established work schedule.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  1. Good physical health and ability to manage work in a high energy environment.
  2. Must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move 50 pounds.

COMPENSATION
In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.
Annual Range/Hourly Rate
$19.01 - $19.01
