Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

  • Physician-led, patient centered team-based environment

  • This per diem opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate for outpatient weekday coverage.

  • Physicians will work a flexible schedule of two to three weekday shifts per week, with shifts lasting approximately six to eight hours.

  • This role is designed to support summer coverage beginning in June, with onboarding and access provider transition support.

  • The position prioritizes work-life balance with no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities.

  • Scheduling remains flexible and is designed to align with individual provider availability and practice site needs.

  • Physicians will practice in a physician-led, patient-centered, team-based care environment.

  • Care is delivered across the continuum with a focus on value-based medicine and strong specialty support.

  • Behavioral health providers are fully integrated into the primary care teams to support whole-person care.

  • Providers benefit from fewer patients per day and longer appointment times, allowing for meaningful patient interactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine

  • Unlimited Licensure in the state of Massachusetts

  • Active DEA License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a Team Care model

  • Fluency in EMR systems & technology

  • EPIC experience a plus

The hourly range for this role is $114.18 to $184.62 per hour based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
