Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plastic injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and support systems. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports production in meeting quality and efficiency goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines (e.g., Milacron, Arburg, Nissei, JSW, etc.) and auxiliary equipment such as dryers, chillers, thermolators, grinders, and robots.

  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical issues.

  • Install, align, and maintain molds, screws, and barrels.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and work orders.

  • Assist in mold changes, machine setups, and process support when needed.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot equipment alarms, sensors, and safety devices.

  • Work with production, tooling, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.

  • Support general plant maintenance, including facility systems, utilities, building up keep, and infrastructure repairs as required.

  • Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.

  • Recommend and assist with equipment upgrades, improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
