Primary Responsibilities:
As a Reliability Engineer for the Designer refrigeration line, you are responsible for defining and driving design assurance and reliability requirements to ensure our products meet customer expectations of quality and performance through the product life cycle.
  • Provide reliability engineering as a member of a business operations/production and cross functional product support team.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to conduct risk analyses and establish design verification testing requirements.
  • Create and drive reliability improvement plans using warranty, service, and call center data to identify systemic issues, prioritize actions, and reduce field costs.
  • Integrate reliability analysis techniques into product or program design objectives.
  • Conduct effective Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Generate test plans and work with test lab technicians to evaluate product and components.

Strong analytical skills with:
  • Failure rates, modes, and mechanisms to support robust design.
  • Root cause identification and corrective action development for field failures.
  • Warranty and service data analysis, including trend identification and reliability modeling.

Work cross functionally with:
  • Service personnel to identify field problems and implement solutions.
  • Purchasing, and component suppliers to drive reliability improvement in purchased components.
  • Quality Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering in identifying in-house problems, implementing solutions, and supporting reliability initiatives / continuous improvement.
