This position offers $20.00 hourly.

PURPOSE

Under supervision working for the Maintenance Department located San Diego, CA for the summer months. The selected individual will have the opportunity to work at a manufacturing facility and work directly with the facility's leadership team supporting our Delimex operation. Constant assistance in the continuous analysis and improvement of processes and system capabilities, explore many aspects of Manufacturing such a Maintenance & Reliability, Capital Projects. Support improvement projects on safety, quality, costs and productivity.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintenance Intern

While day to day activities will be individualized by your leader and Maintenance function, there are scheduled professional development activities to include, but not limited to:

Complete gap analysis of utility asset list for steam, chillers, refrigeration gases, cooling towers, and compressed air. Support operational needs for mandatory quality and safety documentation and paperwork for department operations. Troubleshoot equipment performance issues in accordance with maintenance job classification, maintain and improve integrity and performance of all focus line/s equipment, and complete scheduled work orders Communicate with Maintenance and Production Leadership any maintenance activities required on assigned equipment to ensure optimum line efficiency and product quality Utilizing Maintenance Windows/Scheduled downtime; perform preventive maintenance inspections and corrective work orders on all focus line equipment as assigned by the Maintenance Department to prevent mechanical and/or electrical breakdowns. Participate in the development improvement of a documented 52-week maintenance plan as prescribed in the Playbook and residing in the SAP PM structure. Support on implement improvements using the Breakdown Management process to prevent reoccurring equipment failures Kraft Heinz Management System implementation focus on Maintenance, Reliability and Engineering, Utilities and Good Operational Practices

Reporting

Updates of Key Performance Indicators files assigned, use Lean manufacturing tool to implement assigned project during internship.

Always ensures a safe and sanitary work environment while following established safety regulations in the performance of all job tasks and reporting any unsafe conditions immediately.

Qualifications

Interprets and takes ownership of GMPs and food safety company standards. Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions as needed it.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works primarily in an office setting and may, on occasion, visit a large, open food production area where there is exposure to dust, gas, or fumes and food odor. Hearing protection is required throughout the production and packing areas. Lighting is fluorescent. Floors in the production, packing areas, and warehouse are concrete and sanitized. They may be wet. All employees wear protective gear. Temperatures vary throughout the plant and can be very hot if working near ovens.
