Job description

Director, Influencer Marketing
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
True Religion is an urban casual lifestyle brand focused on high-quality denim, activewear, accessories, and more-for men, women, and kids. Founded in 2002, we shook up the Los Angeles denim scene by re-engineering the classic five-pocket jean with our signature Super T Stitch and iconic horseshoe detailing-now synonymous with bold, unapologetic style and the True Religion legacy. Driven by a relentless commitment to craftsmanship, we design with one goal in mind: to stand out from the crowd. We don't just create denim-we give it attitude, authenticity, and individuality.
THE PURPOSE:
True Religion is at an inflection point in its creator strategy-and this role is at the center of it. As Director of Influencer Marketing, you will build and lead the infrastructure behind one of our most important growth channels, scaling our creator network from approximately 150 to 1,000+ by year-end while ensuring every partnership drives real brand and business impact. This is a builder's role. You'll establish the systems, workflows, and relationships that don't yet exist, connecting True Religion to culture through the voices that move it-across tiers, platforms, and communities. The work is both strategic and operational, and the impact will be highly visible.
THE ROLE (what you are accountable for):
  • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of the influencer marketing and creator partnerships program across all tiers-VIP, mid-tier, micro, emerging creators, and community ambassadors.
  • Develop scalable systems, workflows, and processes to rapidly grow and manage a high-volume creator network from ~150 to 1,000+ by year-end.
  • Build and continuously optimize influencer recruitment, onboarding, gifting/seeding, communications, contracting, content management, and reporting processes.
  • Partner closely with Social, PR, Creative, Brand Marketing, E-commerce, and Merch teams to ensure influencer activity aligns with and amplifies broader business and storytelling goals.
  • Identify and activate opportunities to drive creator-generated content, earned media, social engagement, and cultural relevance for the brand.
  • Manage influencer agencies and external partners, setting clear expectations, deliverables, and performance benchmarks.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics-including engagement, EMV, reach, conversions, content output, and brand impact-and report regularly to leadership.
  • Stay ahead of cultural trends, platform shifts, creator landscape changes, and emerging talent to ensure the program remains innovative and competitive.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and campaign deliverables across multiple simultaneous initiatives with a high degree of organization and accountability.

YOU ARE:
You know the creator landscape the way a music fan knows their favorite artists - intuitively, obsessively, and ahead of the curve. You've built influencer programs before, not just managed them, and you understand the difference between a well-run program and one that actually moves culture. You're equally at home in a strategy deck and a spreadsheet. You build relationships with creators and agents that are genuine and lasting. You know how to move fast without sacrificing quality, and you hold yourself accountable to outcomes, not just activity. Most importantly, you're energized by building because a lot of what this role requires doesn't exist yet.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
  • 7-10+ years of experience in influencer marketing, creator partnerships, brand marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven success building and scaling influencer or ambassador programs at a high-growth consumer brand; fashion or beauty brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise across creator ecosystems on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Experience developing influencer strategy tied directly to brand and business objectives.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into optimized strategy.
  • Experience managing budgets and agency/vendor relationships.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with creators, agents, managers, and industry partners.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Background in fashion, denim, or lifestyle consumer brands with strong cultural brand identity.
  • Experience building influencer programs from the ground up, including developing infrastructure and playbooks.

ADDITIONAL ROLE INFORMATION:
  • Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000. This is a full-time, exempt position. This range represents the low and high end of the expected base salary range for this role based on the applicable location. True Religion reasonably expects to pay within this range in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity.
  • Perks: We offer a mix of benefits and perks to support our employees at work and beyond, including health benefits, a 401(k) with employer match, merchandise discounts, commuter benefits, wellness & employee assistance programs, and more.
  • Work Model: This role is based in El Segundo, CA and follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation of in-office presence on designated days to support collaboration and business needs.
  • Employment Eligibility: Employment with True Religion is contingent upon meeting applicable employment eligibility requirements.
