Job description

The Relay Marketing team is seeking a Senior Manager to lead and grow a team of VOC (Voice of Carrier) Researchers and Marketing Operations Managers. This is a people leadership role that requires equal parts strategic vision and operational rigor. You will define the research agenda that shapes how we understand and respond to carrier needs, while simultaneously building the operational backbone that enables the Marketing team to execute at scale. Reporting into Relay Marketing leadership, you will be a key voice in shaping team strategy and will regularly present insights and recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
Key job responsibilities
UX Research & Voice of Carrier Leadership
You will own the end-to-end carrier research function for Relay Marketing, setting the strategic research roadmap and ensuring the team produces insights that directly influence product marketing decisions, carrier communications, and experience improvements. You will build and evolve VOC collection methodologies across multiple channels, ensuring we capture signal from carriers of all sizes and engagement levels. You will establish frameworks for synthesizing qualitative and quantitative carrier feedback into actionable themes, and create mechanisms to close the loop - ensuring carriers see their feedback reflected in product and experience changes. You will partner closely with Product, Product Marketing, and Design teams to embed carrier insights into roadmap planning, launch strategies, and messaging development.
Marketing Operations Leadership
You will lead the Marketing Operations function, ensuring the team has the systems, processes, and tooling needed to plan, execute, measure, and optimize marketing programs efficiently. This includes overseeing campaign operations, marketing technology stack management, audience segmentation and targeting infrastructure, and performance measurement frameworks. You will drive operational maturity across the marketing organization, establishing scalable workflows, SLAs, and quality standards that enable the team to move faster without sacrificing precision. You will identify automation opportunities and build the business case for tooling investments that unlock capacity and improve outcomes.
People Leadership & Team Development
You will hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of researchers and operations managers, fostering a culture of curiosity, ownership, and continuous improvement. You will set clear goals and expectations, provide regular coaching and feedback, and create development paths that grow individual contributors into future leaders. You will manage team capacity and prioritization, ensuring resources are allocated against the highest-impact work and that the team is protected from reactive, low-value requests.
Cross-Functional Influence & Senior Leadership Engagement
You will serve as the connective tissue between carrier insights and marketing execution, ensuring that what we learn from carriers directly informs how we go to market. You will build trusted relationships with Product, Operations, and Business Development leaders, positioning your team as an indispensable partner in decision-making. You will prepare and deliver regular readouts to VP+ audiences, translating complex research findings and operational metrics into clear narratives that drive action.
