Location: Needham, MA | Full-time | On-site, hybrid potential after training

Reports to: Director of Operations & Director of Financial Planning

Compensation: Base range between $65,000 and $75,000 plus bonus

The Role

This role is the first step in our financial planner development program. It is built for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in wealth management and financial planning and is willing to learn the business from the ground up. Our Director of Financial Planning started in operations and now leads our planning team, and this role formalizes the path he took. You will work towards mastery of how we operate and how we build financial plans while helping the firm provide exceptional client service from the front lines.

Advancement is based on demonstrated capability. The right candidate may be promoted within twelve to eighteen months to a Paraplanning role with a corresponding increase in salary. Over time, advancement potential includes roles such as Support Advisor, Financial Planner, and Financial Advisor.

You’ll coordinate across our Operations, Planning, and Investment teams to resolve matters that touch multiple disciplines. You’ll also work closely with our Director of Operations to ensure day-to-day client service standards are upheld, and with our Director of Financial Planning to build and deepen your familiarity with our planning processes.

What You’ll Do

Financial Planning Support

  • Learn our financial planning process
  • Work with the Principal of the firm and other financial advisors to prepare client financial plans, including gathering and organizing client financial data in our financial planning software
  • Schedule planning meetings and assist with meeting preparation and follow up
  • Support servicing for insurance policies, annuities, and other outside investment accounts
  • Contribute to miscellaneous projects that support our financial planning services

Client Service & Account Operations:

  • Process new account paperwork, transfers, and account maintenance requests
  • Handle client service inquiries and resolve operational issues
  • Coordinate money movement, distributions, and account updates
  • Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly client reports
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming client calls

Office & Team Support

  • Keep the office running smoothly through facilities coordination, vendor communications, and day-to-day logistics
  • Support event planning and logistics for client and firm events

Workflow & Systems

  • Proactively manage and update firm systems including our financial planning system, CRM, custodial platforms, and internal tracking tools
  • Coordinate with the planning team on engagement letters and administrative follow-through
  • Jump in on special projects and help us build better processes as we scale
Who You Are
  • You have been excellent at something difficult either personally or professionally
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or in progress
  • 0-3 years of experience in financial services or a client facing role in any industry
  • Coachable, curious, and open to feedback
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
