Job Type: PRN l Days

Schedule: 8a-4:30p Monday-Friday, as needed

  1. The cardiac rehabilitation programs at Centerpoint Health are designed to support a patients individual journey to a healthier heart. We commonly support patients worried about risk for heart disease or recovering from a heart event. Cardiac rehabilitation services include:

    • Fitness program to strengthen heart health

      • Nutrition counseling

        • Psychological counseling

        • Weight management

        • Stress management

        • Smoking cessation

        • Diabetes education

        • Support groups

How you'll contribute

A Cardiac Rehab RN who excels in this role:

  • Works in collaboration with the nurses and exercise physiologists in the Cardio Pulmonary Rehabilitation program to care for patients with recent cardiac or pulmonary events.

  • Assists with the patient process flows, such as cardiac telemetry monitoring, vital signs, patient education, patient assessment, maintaining exercise prescriptions for the patient, setting exercise machines, etc

  • Assists in cleaning/sanitizing/maintaining equipment.

  • Attends in-services as required for position.

  • Assists in maintaining logs as needed.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • BLS ACLS and PALS required
  • Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Must have critical care experience
