Job description

Radiology Technician - Immediate Care

Location: Valparaiso, Schererville, Crown Point, St John, Munster

Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Physician Practice Network Manager / Office Supervisor as well as the clinical direction of the providers, the Radiology Tech takes diagnostic radiographs of patient organs, anatomical areas, and body systems which will assist the provider in the diagnosis and treatment of physical injuries or medical disorders.

Education/ Experience Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, Registered in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Current license from the Indiana State Department of Health to operate ionizing radiation equipment.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for Neonates, Infants, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients/family served.
  • Radiology Technician must maintain CPR certification.
  • Continuing education credits as required by the ARRT.
  • Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills and communication abilities necessary to interact effectively with peers, health team members, physicians, patients and patient's family and/or significant others.
