Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Radiologist Assistant for our Interventional Radiology team at our main hospital campus in New York City, join us!
Role Overview:
  • In a collaborative and multidisciplinary/modality environment, support the Attending Radiologist and fellows in the provision of patient care in the procedure room, clinic and on the patient floors.
  • Assists with the education of technologist, Radiologist Assistant students, and residents.
  • Obtains and reviews patient clinical history prior to any procedure.
  • Obtains and documents informed consent for procedures the RA is credentialed to perform.
  • Performs procedures, including appropriate administration of contrast material, when indicated, in accordance with credentials.
  • Assists the attending Radiologist with procedures as requested.
  • Acquires relevant images to adequately document the procedure performed.
  • Post-procedure, enters into the medical record appropriate documentation of the procedure performed, enters appropriate post-procedure orders, and prepares preliminary reports of procedures performed, including preliminary dictations with appropriate codes.
  • Obtain and evaluate vital signs, perform limited physical examination as appropriate reporting findings to a collaborating Radiologist.
  • Act as a liaison between referring services and Radiologist and arranges appropriate follow-up based on clinical findings.
  • Reviews imaging studies and pertinent patient history to triage incoming referrals to the department.

Key Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited RA program with an MS in Health Science.
  • ARRT certification as a Registered Radiologist Assistant.
  • New York State Department of Health licensure(Radiologic Technologist and Specialist Assistant license required)
  • BLS/ACLS certification.
