Assess acute changes in patients and work in a fast-paced environment. Chronic Vent exp. Use of EKG. RN must be competent in rhythm strip interpretation - required to pass EKG strip test at orientation. RN must be competent in rhythm strip interpretation. Prefer competence in initiating and maintaining cardiac drips such as dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem.
