Job Description
ICU Float - Intensive Care Unit
Schedule
3x12 hour night shifts. Every other weekend required.
Assignment Details
Will float among multiple ICU units and may also be assigned to non-critical inpatient floors when census is low.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years ICU experience required.
  • BLS (BCLS) and ACLS certifications required.
  • NIHSS certification required.
  • Prior EPIC experience strongly preferred.
  • CRRT experience beneficial.
  • License in hand required for the state of practice.
  • Some cardiac skills preferred but not strictly required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage ventilators and administer conscious sedation.
  • Initiate IVs and monitor telemetry.
  • Provide care for adult and geriatric patients across various ICU settings.
  • Be flexible in floating to other units and fulfilling patient sitter roles as necessary.

Compliance / Notes
No local candidates within a 75-mile radius will be accepted. Flu vaccine required, with exemptions for medical/religious reasons only.
