Job description

Registered Client Service Associate (Transition Team)

Location: Parsippany, NJ (Onsite)
Travel:  25%

We're partnering with a growing wealth management firm seeking an experienced Registered Client Service Associate (CSA) to play a critical role in advisor transitions and delivering an exceptional client experience.

Unlike a traditional CSA position, this role serves as part of a specialized transition team. You'll become fully trained in the firm's technology, workflows, and multi-custodial environment so you're ready to support advisors as they join the firm. Your expertise will help ensure a seamless experience for clients while newly transitioned advisors build their permanent support team.

If you enjoy learning, adapting to new situations, and making an immediate impact, this is a unique opportunity to become an invaluable resource within a highly respected wealth management organization.

What You'll Do
  • Support advisors during client transition and onboarding periods

  • Build relationships with clients while providing a white-glove service experience

  • Process account openings, transfers, money movements, maintenance requests, and client paperwork

  • Coordinate with multiple custodians to facilitate account transitions

  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation

  • Prepare advisors for client meetings and follow up on action items

  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on firm systems, technology, and operational processes

  • Partner with advisors and leadership to ensure a smooth transition for every new practice

  • Assist with special projects and operational initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Client Service Associate within a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), independent broker-dealer, or wealth management firm

  • Strong understanding of account servicing, client onboarding, and financial operations

  • Experience working with multiple custodial platforms is preferred

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Outstanding communication and client service abilities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift

  • A proactive mindset with a desire to solve problems and support others

  • FINRA registrations are required

Why This Role Is Different

This isn't a traditional desk assignment supporting one advisor. Instead, you'll become a trusted transition specialist—helping advisors and their clients navigate one of the most important moments in their business. You'll work alongside leadership, gain exposure to multiple practices, and become an integral part of the firm's long-term growth strategy.

If you're looking for a role where your experience is valued, your work makes an immediate impact, and every day brings something new, we'd love to hear from you.

I actually think this role has a great story to tell. It's essentially an internal transition specialist for wealth management. I'd even consider changing the title to Transition Client Service Associate or Transition & Client Service Associate. Those titles immediately signal that this is more strategic than a standard CSA role and will attract candidates who enjoy problem-solving and variety rather than supporting a single advisor indefinitely.
