Job Title: Unarmed Security Guard

Location: Manhattan, NY

Certifications Needed: Unarmed Security Guard License, F01 Certificate of Fitness

Compensation: $19.31, Union Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision)

Schedules Available

  1. Mon - Fri: 7am - 3pm but most times shift will be 5AM - 4PM
  2. Saturday, Sunday 6PM - 2AM
  3. Saturday, Sunday 6:00am - 2:00pm, (FLEX remainder of the week)
  4. Mon - Fri FLEX (12PM - 6PM)(6PM-2AM)
  5. Thursday - Saturday 12:00am - 8:00am
  6. FLEX (Weekends mainly) 12:00am - 8:00am
  7. FLEX 4pm - 12am and or 12am - 8am (Multilungual Candidate (Preferably Mandarin/Spanish)

Job Overview

The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment within high-end client locations. This role requires a polished presence, strong situational awareness, and a customer service–focused approach. Guards are expected to identify and address potential risks discreetly while delivering a professional, concierge-level experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, on-site security and perimeter oversight
  • Maintain a visible, professional presence aligned with client expectations
  • Monitor, assess, and promptly report incidents or irregularities
  • Respond to situations calmly, using sound judgment and de-escalation techniques
  • Communicate effectively with the Site Supervisor or Manager on duty
  • Support access control, fire safety, and routine patrol procedures
  • Accurately complete reports and required documentation
  • Utilize company systems for scheduling and timekeeping
  • Collaborate with team members to uphold service standards and protocols
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of security experience, preferably in luxury residential or commercial settings
  • Valid NYS Security Guard License
  • F01 Certificate of Fitness
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to stand for a long period of time
  • Additional certifications are a plus
