Job description

THE ROLE

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and performance for facility services we provide to commercial and multifamily properties across the region. Emphasis on quality control, process optimization, profit & loss, and customer satisfaction are essential.


THE COMPANY

CAM Property Services is a leading provider of commercial property services in Southern and Central California that will soon be celebrating its 40th anniversary in business. We seek like-minded professionals to help us achieve our mission of growing our business by growing our people.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full P&L responsibility for recurring facility and property services (e.g., janitorial, day porter, building maintenance) provided to shopping centers, multifamily, retail chains, office buildings, and industrial assets
  • Create and implement SOPs for each service line to ensure services are performed to highest industry standards
  • Ensure all payroll practices are followed in accord with California law
  • Primary point of contact for escalated issues to ensure timely and equitable dispute resolution
  • Develop and manage property budgets ensuring quality and profitability
  • Monitor expenses, negotiate with vendors and suppliers, and implement cost-control strategies
  • Prepare and present financial and operational reports to senior leadership and clients


Team Leadership and Development

  • Supervise and coach supervisory and frontline service teams across the region
  • Ensure all team members are trained on safety protocols, SOPs, and client expectations
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements


Strategic Planning

  • Analyze operational performance and implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize efficiency and service delivery
  • Align service delivery with client objectives, market trends, and company goals
  • Assist in the development and execution of long-term regional growth strategies, including expansion into new markets or service lines


REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations or facilities management, or a related field
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) are a plus

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in facility or operations management
  • Proven track record of managing multiple sites or properties
  • Experience working in facility and property services (e.g., janitorial, landscape, HVAC, maintenance) is highly preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent client relationship skills and the ability to handle escalations and resolve issues
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with facility management software (e.g., Aspire CRM)
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and other relevant employment laws
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement process improvements

Other Requirements

  • Ability to travel within the region regularly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and be available for after-hours emergencies or issues


COMPENSATION

  • Base salary to $75,000 to $95,000 (DOE)
  • Incentives range from 20% to 25% of base salary, annually
  • Benefits: company auto, HMO, paid sick time and vacation, 401(k) match
