Position Summary... What you'll do...
Equipment Operation and Troubleshooting
  • Operates material handling equipment, battery-powered equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
  • Diagnoses refrigeration and electrical problems using:
    • Technical drawings, such as blueprints and electronic/mechanical schematics
    • Diagnostic tools, such as multimeters and laptops
  • Troubleshoots and repairs complex ammonia refrigeration system issues involving:
    • Equipment logic controls
    • External input/output (I/O) devices
    • Mechanical and electrical components where the source of the problem is not immediately visible or obvious
Refrigeration System Maintenance
  • Operates refrigeration system equipment, including compressors and fan units.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration equipment by:
    • Following original equipment manufacturer (OEM) instructions
    • Adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensures refrigeration systems operate safely and efficiently.
Safety and Hazardous Materials
  • Serves as a member of the Hazardous Materials (HazMat) team.
  • Cleans, contains, and helps prevent issues involving hazardous materials.
  • Monitors work areas for safety concerns in accordance with established procedures.
  • Takes appropriate corrective action when safety risks or hazards are identified.
  • Promotes a safe working environment for associates, customers, and visitors.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.85 - $39.85* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
