ResponsibilitiesMaintains and repairs heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and related controls and accessories, pneumatic and electronic equipment, temperature controls, emergency electrical equipment, locks and hardware, electrical systems, tests and repairs fire safety equipment, sprinklers, alarm systems, patient equipment and all running repairs for daily operation of the hospital.
This position performs facilities maintenance, operations, and technical work. It does not include the practice of professional engineering as defined by state law. Engineering design, calculations, and approvals requiring licensure are performed by licensed Professional Engineers where required.
QualificationsEducation: High School diploma or equivalent. Completed courses in apprenticeship program - journey engineer.
Experience: Four years minimum experience. Knowledge of heating cooling and ventilation.
LicensureValid driver's license and a driving record that meets insurance carrier requirements. Electrical and refrigeration preferred.
