Now, we're looking for a motivated Superintendent with experience working for GCs to join our self-perform team with the mission to deliver excellence in every project.What You'll Do:The Traveling Project Superintendent holds responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of commercial construction projects on site to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. The Project Superintendent's primary focus will be interfacing with the GC and Owner and will work alongside a Design Systems Builders PEMB superintendent who will focus on the crews, subcontractors and production. An additional focus of this position is to strengthen existing as well as build new and lasting relationships with clientele and subcontractors. Experience managing large, complex projects and willingness to travel are a must.You'll:Upon assignment of project, refine project specific and client-driven goals and schedules.On negotiated design-build projects, assist the design team. Identify design inefficiencies and recommend changes.Establish and maintain project goals and success criteria meeting the client's needs.Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and supervise multiple activities for project.Maintain project budget, schedules, and cost control. Update schedule weekly with Project Manager.Provide estimating assistance to Project Manager as needed.Communicate weekly project schedule updates to GCs and owners.Review field change orders prior to submitting to Project Manager.Submit draft RFIs to Project Manager for approval.Share leadership with PEMB Superintendent and Project Manager of weekly project meetings with all stakeholders.Review and address plan details, resolve issues before they result in added budget expenditures.Maintain continual open communication with GC, client, and PEMB Superintendent to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.Maintain awareness of safety rules and procedures among personnel, identify safety hazards and implement corrective actions.Document hours worked and submit to HR/Payroll Coordinator each week.Provide feedback to Operations leader on subordinates.Attend GC and client meetings as required.Perform additional assignments at supervisor's direction.Why You'll Love Working Here:Employee Ownership (ESOP) - You're not just an employee-you're an ownerCulture of Excellence - High-quality work, strong relationships, and personal integrity define usTeam Environment - Work with people who care about your growth and successCareer Development - We value long-term commitment and promote from withinCompetitive Benefits - Including health coverage, paid time off, and moreWhat We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 10 years of work experience in a commercial construction environment, of which 5 years was as a Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent in same setting.Experience leading commercial construction projects with a value of $50M or greaterExceptional organizational, time management, and decision-making/problem-solving skillsWilling to travel both locally and out of state to manage projectsSolid math, communication, and tech skillsOSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain)Valid driver's license required with good driving record and ability to operate a pickup truckThis is a physically active role, involving both indoor and outdoor environments and regular travel to job sites within a 100-mile radius of our Nashville office. Willingness to travel to projects throughout the Southeast is a huge plus!
