Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our eFill Pharmacy Tech, you will support patients with CommonSpirit Health providers by managing prescription requests with no refills remaining by authorizing a renewal based on organization-approved standing orders or protocol.

As a remote employee, we will provide you with the equipment needed to work from home, including a laptop, docking station, dual monitors, and accessories. This position is work from home for residents of California.

  • Appropriately notifies the prescribing provider of any protocol criteria that are not met after reviewing the requested medication.
  • Update patients of the status of their refill requests.
  • Answers, screens, and processes a high volume of incoming calls in a professional manner.
  • Utilizes and adheres to a phone script, clinical decision trees and following department guidelines.
  • Sends out accurate and complete communication to physicians or other healthcare providers and documents all required information in the EHR and other operating platforms based on department policies and procedures.
