Jail-Based Therapist Annual Salary: $55,459Full-time | Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Location: HamptonHelp Individuals Build a Path to RecoveryThe Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is committed to providing high-quality behavioral health services to residents of Hampton and Newport News, Virginia. We offer a comprehensive range of programs for children and adults living with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders, helping individuals and families access the support they need to thrive.We are seeking a Jail-Based Therapist to provide behavioral health and substance use treatment services for individuals participating in the Hampton City Jail Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program. This position offers a unique opportunity to support recovery, reduce barriers to successful reentry, and help individuals transition from incarceration to community-based care.Required qualifications:Master's degree in Social Work or CounselingOne year of clinical experience in a substance use disorder and/or correctional settingMust be eligible for Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) supervision approval in Virginia within 30 days of hire.What You'll DoAs a Jail-Based Therapist, you will provide behavioral health and substance use services to individuals participating in the Hampton City Jail Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program.
