Job description

The Stock Keeper 1 is responsible for ensuring proper materials are available to the assigned departments while maintaining accurate inventory transactions via scanning equipment for manufacturing departments.
This position is located at our Red Lion Plant 2 location at 100 Redco, Red Lion, PA.
Responsibilities
  • Provides movement of materials and supplies between receiving, manufacturing, shipping, and storage areas using forklift.
  • Controls the issue and receipt of materials to production, verifying work order numbers, quantities, and status of work orders.
  • Receives incoming materials, verifying quality, quantities, and purchase orders. Apply labels according to requirements and store in proper locations.
  • Operates forklift as assigned for loading and unloading of steel coils/tubing. Inspect and weigh coils to standards. Write coil tickets and distribute copies where needed.
  • Ensures that materials are correctly staged, clearly labeled with part numbers and quantities to ensure prompt delivery between manufacturing departments.
  • Rotate materials using older materials first, or as a manufacturing requires, utilizing the space in the plant efficiently.
  • Identify damaged materials and take appropriate action (s).
  • Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.
  • Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
  • Forklift experienced and prior licensing required.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability interface with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally during an 8-hour shift.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.
