Overview

As a global provider of water and process technology solutions, we help leading organizations achieve sustainability and operational goals through water reuse, desalination, minimal and zero liquid discharge, and critical minerals recovery.

Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Project Engineer to work in our Canonsburg, PA office. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Project Engineer reports to the Project Manager and is an Exempt employee.

Responsibilities
  • Review project specifications
  • Prepare project documents
  • Maintain the Project Master document list
  • Lead project design coordination with internal engineering departments, external engineering agencies, and site contractors
  • Coordinate engineering document submissions to customers and vendors
  • Facilitate timely engineering reviews of vendor quotes
  • Review vendor quotes and purchase requisitions for compliance with project specifications
  • Report engineering progress into the project schedule
  • Coordinate collection of inputs to 3D model and resolve issue tags
  • Provide status, control, and progress reporting support on projects
  • Prepare project schedules per project requirements
  • Verify project progress and prepare monthly progress reports
  • Vendor follow-up and expediting
  • Periodic vendor visits to monitor progress
  • Attend customer meetings as required
  • Support correspondence with customers via the Project Manager
  • Internal communication with all departments and AIC Assembly shop
  • Track material status in SAP and update project status
  • Prepare packing slips and related shipment documentation
  • Site visits during the construction phase
  • Coordinate engineering responses to RFIs from subcontractors
  • Expedite critical engineering solutions during construction
  • Ensure design changes are communicated to the project team and incorporated into the 3D model
  • Oversee as-built documentation for the project
  • Work autonomously without constant guidance
  • Travel up to 10% International and Domestic
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a project-related industry
  • Prior water/wastewater infrastructure project experience preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
  • Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings and P&IDs
  • Strong math, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office; experience with SAP; Primavera P6 preferred; AutoCAD 2D and Plant 3D preferred

Physical Demands
