A portfolio is required. Applications submitted without a portfolio will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging visual content that enhances the fan experience and supports club marketing, content, and partnership initiatives.
  • Work within established brand guidelines to ensure all creative assets are visually compelling, technically accurate, and delivered on schedule.
  • Create motion templates, systems, and reusable assets to improve production efficiency and maintain visual consistency.
  • Conceptualize and execute video opens, end cards, title sequences, bumpers, lower thirds, fan engagement prompts, cross-promotional content, partnership activations, and other motion-based projects.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Content, Partnerships, and other internal stakeholders on long-form, short-form, and campaign-based creative projects.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC brand through innovative motion design and creative thinking.
  • Stay current with emerging design trends, tools, and techniques, with a particular focus on the sports and entertainment industries.
  • Animate typography, vector artwork, logos, and other graphic elements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Work effectively within online project management and creative collaboration systems.

Qualifications & Experience
In addition to demonstrating a commitment to the values and vision of Vancouver Whitecaps FC, the successful candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Animation, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with, or a strong interest in, 3D design and animation software, particularly Cinema 4D.
  • Strong understanding of motion design principles, typography, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to receive creative direction, incorporate feedback, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when required, particularly during peak production periods, match days, and time-sensitive projects.
  • A passion for sports, entertainment, and creating memorable fan experiences is considered an asset.
