Eagle Valley Children’s Home is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and caring team member to join us as our next

Recreation Activities Assistant!


About the Position

As a Recreation Activities Assistant, you will work closely with the Recreation Activities Coordinator, Organizational Management Team, DCT staff, and community partners to provide meaningful, enjoyable, and skill-building activities for our clients.

You will help plan and participate in recreational activities, community outings, special events, and other opportunities that support client growth, independence, and quality of life.


You will also assist the RAC:

  • Planning events and activities
  • Attending client meetings
  • Reporting on client progress
  • Providing valuable input to the Recreation Department
  • Supporting clients as they work toward their individual goals
  • Helping create positive, engaging, and memorable experiences
Schedule:

40-hour-per-week position with Sunday & Monday off, 9:00am - 5:30pm

35-hour per week position with Friday & Saturday off, 9:00am - 5:30pm


Wage: $21.95–$23.29 per hour, depending on experience. Compensation may be negotiable for candidates with extensive relevant experience.


Must be willing to maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional adjustments to accommodate client activities and special events.

Requirements:

Qualifications

To be considered for the Recreation Activities Assistant position, applicants must meet the following requirements:


Education
High school diploma or equivalent.


Physical Requirements
Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including standing for extended periods, providing physical care and support to individuals, and safely lifting or carrying up to 65 pounds.


Driver’s License
Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that is acceptable to Eagle Valley Children’s Home’s insurance carrier.


Background Requirements
Must meet all applicable background requirements and have no disqualifying criminal convictions in accordance with NRS 449.

Annual Flu Vaccination
Must receive a yearly influenza vaccination as required by Eagle Valley Children’s Home.


Drug Screening
Must successfully complete required drug testing, including screening for marijuana.
