Job description

Incumbents of positions in this series inspect recreation facilities to recommend or perform repair work; review plans and specifications; operate tools and machinery; and perform related work as required. The basic purpose of this work is to repair and maintain electrical, heating and plumbing systems and equipment at recreation facilities. Inspects recreation facilities to determine the need for repair work and either recommends or performs minor electrical, heating, plumbing and/or equipment repairs to insure safety and maximum operating efficiency of such systems and equipment.

Reviews blueprints, plans, schematics and/or technical manuals for maintenance purposes. Operates hand and power tools, pumps and generators, filter plants and associated equipment in connection with repair work. Performs related duties such as picking up supplies needed for maintenance and repair work.

2 years of experience required in related work. 3 years of experience are preferred. Massachusetts Driver's license may be required.
