GENERAL SUMMARY
The Cafe Lead position will work closely with Chef/Manager to ensure that food service tasks are completed by associates in a timely manner while assuring the highest level of guest satisfaction possible. They will assist where needed in order to maintain a positive, productive work environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to cashiering, drink and food preparation, stocking, food running, order taking, labor controls, organizational goals, quality control, health and safety, training of associates, and general service to members and other associates.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Assure the highest level of guest satisfaction possible
  • Establish and maintain a culture of regularly engaging with all guests. Including knowing the names and preferences of as many guests as possible
  • Help establish and maintain and train all service standards and systems
  • Assure that all service staff adheres to the same engagement expectations as defined above
  • Assures that all associates are actively following the cycles of service as defined by the PRO & F&B Management Team
  • Understand and follow through with excellent service recovery practices
  • Accurately operate the cash register
  • Receive and direct telephone calls including accurate message taking
  • Prepare and create smoothie and espresso beverages
  • Prepare foods offered in the Cafe
  • Stock supplies, products, and utensils throughout the Cafe.
  • General cleaning of the Cafe (including floors, tables, walls, carpets, etc..) and stock areas
  • Ensure daily tasks are completed by each cast associates, including but not limited to: cleaning tasks, warm-ups & special projects
  • Bus tables and maintain the cleanliness of the eating areas
  • Provide world class service to members and guests
  • Serve in the lead capacity when other Food & Beverage management is not present
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
  • Assists in the training of other Associates
  • Assure that all service standards and operating procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Assure that all product quality control standards are adhered to at all times
  • Assure that all food and beverages delivered to guests are of the highest quality standards
  • Follow up and report on any observed negative quality issues
  • Assist in various administrative duties as assigned by the Chef/Manager.
  • Assist in monthly product inventories as needed
  • Assist with weekly ordering of supplies when assigned by the Chef/Manager
  • Monitor daily staffing levels in relation to current business volume
  • Works on the line in any capacity as needed during all shifts.
  • Assist Management with conducting monthly staff meetings and daily warm-ups
  • Maintains a safe & secure environment for all associates and guests
  • Ensure all Serve Safe practices are followed
  • Ensure all equipment is in proper working order
  • Monitors and assures that all Food Worker's Permits are current for all Café associates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum 2 years Supervisor experience.
