Job Title: Restoration Estimator and Project Manager
Reports to: Reconstruction Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Restoration Estimator/Project Manager to oversee roofing and exterior damage claims. This position is key to managing restoration projects from the initial assessment to final completion, ensuring client satisfaction, quality, and timeliness. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction and estimating for property restoration, with a strong background in roofing and damage assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple restoration leads from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
    • Perform standard roof inspections.
    • Respond to time sensitive tasks with a sense of urgency
    • Take detailed measurements, photographs, and notes to document the extent of the damage to roofs, siding, gutters, windows, and other exterior components.
    • Conduct thorough inspections of roofs and exterior structures to assess damage resulting from storms, wind, hail, fire, or other incidents.
    • Generate and submit written inspection reports, including damage assessments, repair recommendations, and cost estimates.
    • Coordinate and supervise all phases of the restoration process, including roofing and exterior damage repairs.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations on job sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
    • Act as the primary point of contact between Adjusters, TPA vendor managers, contractors and internal teams.
    • Schedule and coordinate inspections, assess damages and prepare estimate.
    • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and progress to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
    • Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during the restoration process

  • Estimating:
    • Conduct comprehensive site inspections to assess damage and scope of work for roofing, interior, and exterior restoration projects.
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates and accurate bids for clients, including labor, materials, and equipment.
    • Work closely with TPA vendor manager and insurance adjusters to ensure proper damage assessments and claim settlements.
    • Stay current with industry standards, pricing, and local building codes to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
    • Ensure that all estimates are aligned with TPA guidelines, required documentation, and updated in the restoration CRM DASH.

  • Client & Stakeholder Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance companies, subcontractors, and vendors.
    • Provide timely updates to clients on project status, delays, and changes.
    • Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any concerns promptly.
    • Assist clients with navigating insurance claims, including providing necessary documentation and support.

  • Quality Control & Compliance:
    • Ensure all restoration work meets or exceeds TPA and industry standards and regulations.
    • Conduct final walkthroughs and quality checks to ensure the work has been completed to client satisfaction.
    • Ensure all projects adhere to safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR.

  • Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques for roofing and restoration. Familiarity with local building codes and insurance claim processes.

  • Skills:
    • Excellent estimating and budgeting skills.
    • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and damage reports.
    • Familiarity with estimating software (Xactimate, Symbility etc.).

  • Communication:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical details to clients and stakeholders.
    • Provide updates in a timely manner per TPA timeline.

  • Problem-Solving:
    • Ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and climb ladders for roofing inspections, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
