Job description

Receptionist Position

Our client, a global financial firm based in Manhattan, is looking to hire a star receptionist to work alongside their existing receptionist, in their Midtown office. The successful candidate must be well spoken, skilled, polished and have a nothing is beneath me attitude. The position requires 1 year of corporate experience and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer calls and transfer calls/take messages as needed
  • Keep receptionist area in orderly manner
  • Meet and greet clients and guests
  • Maintain list of important contact numbers in building
  • Coordinate and oversee a busy conference room calendar
  • Arrange daily needs for conference rooms; A/V, computer, office supplies, catering, etc.
  • Request building passes for any guests
  • Clean up conference rooms as needed
  • Order flowers, lunches, etc.
  • Handle mail and overnight mail delivery

Requirements:

  • 1 year of corporate/admin experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be proactive with a sense of urgency
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Positive and humble attitude
  • Poised and polished demeanor

Salary: $70-80K base + discretionary bonus + GREAT benefits

Hours: 7:30am-6pm (staggered with other receptionist) ~45 hour work week 5x a week in office
