Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Desktop Support Specialist to join our Fort Worth team. The ideal candidate will be either a recent graduate with a strong foundation in IT systems or have 3-5 years of hands-on experience supporting both Linux and Windows environments. This role focuses on providing technical support for Windows desktop and server systems along with some Linux workstations.ย 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide desktop and server support forย Windowsย systems (installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance).ย 
  • Assist users with software and hardware issues in both Linux and Windows environments.ย 
  • Perform routine system maintenance and updates across supported platforms.ย 
  • Monitor system performance and respond to alerts or issues as needed.ย 
  • Support end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with best practices.ย 
  • Maintain documentation of procedures, configurations, and system changes.ย 
  • Collaborate with IT team members on infrastructure improvements and automation projects.ย 
  • Participate in system upgrades and deployment of new technologies.ย 

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field,ย orย 3-5 years of experience in IT support roles.ย 
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of Windows desktop and server environments is aย plus.ย 
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).ย
