Job description

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support our commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion across the Southeast region. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or an individual with foundational construction experience looking to advance their career in project management.




Responsibilities


Assist the Project Manager in all phases of commercial construction projects from start to finish.

Support the tracking and monitoring of project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor performance.

Coordinate communication among owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.

Assist with the review and organization of contracts, construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.

Track project progress and assist in preparing regular reports for management and clients.

Support the processing and documentation of Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders.

Prepare for and attend project meetings; help maintain strong documentation and communication records.

Help maintain and ensure compliance with project safety standards and company procedures.

Travel to project sites throughout Florida and the Southeast as needed.

Qualifications


0-2 years of experience in commercial construction; internships or field experience are highly valued.

Basic knowledge of commercial construction processes and scheduling principles.

Familiarity with interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

Strong organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a willingness to learn project scheduling software.

Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.

Must be willing to travel throughout the Southeast.
