Title: FP&A Analyst

Location: Orlando, FL

Your Role at Acousti

The FP&A Analyst will support financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions across the organization. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with strong analytical skills, a foundational understanding of financial statements, and a desire to learn within a fast-paced construction environment.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, identifying financial trends, and communicating insights clearly to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
    • Analyze P&L statements to identify trends, variances, and key performance drivers
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities
    • Regularly travel to job sites and review onsite processes to identify areas of concern
    • Assess areas of loss on active sites and recommend methodologies of improvement
    • Partner with operations and project teams to understand financial performance at the job level
    • Identify areas of financial concern and proactively recommend solutions
    • Track project costs, margins, and overhead expenses
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor business performance
    • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to support project and business goals
    • Prepare, review, and present reports, analyses, or operational updates to leadership
    • Support compliance with internal controls, safety regulations, and company policies
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements

What We're Looking for in You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
    • 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or similar role (internships welcomed)
    • Strong understanding of financial statements, especially P&L analysis
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
    • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
    • Eagerness to learn and grow within a construction-focused environment
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working in a corporate or multi-division organization
    • Familiarity with industry-specific compliance, regulations, or project delivery models
