Description - Your Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests-chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond-following established protocols.
- Evaluate test results for precision, resolve discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
- Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis when necessary.
- Record all procedures meticulously, mentor new team members or students, and help maintain laboratory quality standards.
- Ensure a safe, organized work environment while adhering to regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, in conjunction with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of hire.
- Maintain active certification throughout employment.
