Job Overview
The CDL-A Bulk Tank Wash Tech plays a key role in executing assigned Bulk Tank tasks. This includes cleaning equipment such as pumps and valves, using drop-in spray balls, brushes, and tools necessary to properly clean the interior and exterior of tank trailers, product pumps, and hoses.
Key Responsibilities
  • Clean all tractors, tanks, milk pumps, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure each tank is ready for operation, including proper reinstallation of milk pumps.
  • Receive, test, and determine compliance with all incoming raw dairy and cream trucks, bulk sugars, oils, and CIP chemical trucks.
  • Wash the outsides of cream trucks and maintain valves and gaskets on trucks.
  • Manage farm samples as required by the site.
  • Monitor silos for testing and proper rotation by coordinating with shift managers/supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness of alcove rooms, CIP room, tanker bays, and raw lab per cleaning checklists.
  • Verify, inspect, and maintain cleanliness of tankers, silos, tanks, and lines.
  • Disassemble and assemble sanitary lines and CIP equipment, and monitor CIP systems.
  • Maintain raw material records in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure quality standards for all products being received and tested.
  • Identify and label any foreign materials found during unloading or inspecting in-line screens.
  • Maintain the Receiving Log for the shift worked.
  • Always assist and maintain professionalism with tanker drivers.
  • Maintain communication between additional departments, promoting excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate the internal HMI system.

Min. Qualifications
  • A minimum GED or High School diploma is required.
  • Must possess a valid CDL A w/Air Brake to include a Tanker Endorsement.
  • Working knowledge of all Federal DOT Safety.
  • 1 - 2 years of manufacturing/machine operation experience in the dairy/food industry preferred.
  • SQF or similar quality systems experience preferred.
  • NYS Raw Lab Receiver license preferred.
