Description

The Forklift Operator / Receiving Associate performs a variety of warehouse, receiving, inventory, and material handling functions to support the efficient operation of the Distribution Center. The duties listed below are representative of the types of work performed and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities. DOE $15.00 per hour. 

Based on business needs, workload demands, operational priorities, cross-training requirements, and management direction, employees may be required to perform any, all, or a combination of the duties identified in this job description, as well as other related duties assigned. The ability to perform multiple warehouse functions and work in various areas of the Distribution Center is an essential function of this position.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with varied daily tasks that may include:
  • Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Unloading inbound shipments and verifying quantities against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation
  • Inspecting incoming shipments for damage, shortages, overages, or discrepancies and reporting issues to management
  • Receiving products into inventory systems accurately and in a timely manner
  • Transporting products and materials to designated warehouse locations
  • Loading and unloading trucks using proper safety procedures
  • Maintaining organized storage locations and ensuring inventory is properly identified and stored
  • Assisting with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Picking, packing, labeling, and staging products for shipment as needed
  • Assisting with stock rotation and inventory control activities
  • Maintaining warehouse equipment and reporting maintenance or safety concerns
  • Following all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and warehouse operating procedures
  • Keeping work areas, aisles, docks, and common spaces clean and free from debris
  • Assisting in general facility upkeep, including the rotation of cleaning duties in shared spaces such as the kitchen, break areas, and restrooms
  • Reporting damaged goods, inventory discrepancies, equipment issues, or safety hazards promptly to a supervisor
  • Contributing to a team-oriented environment and assisting co-workers as needed
  • Demonstrating a consistent commitment to working a full 40-hour week with dependable attendance and minimal absences or distractions
  • Keeping your work environment clean and tidy at all times and complying with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • May be required to support any and all departments when needed

Shift Schedule:

  • 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (hours may vary)
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs
  • Follow the designated break schedule: one 30-minute lunch break and two breaks during an 8-hour shift

Requirements

  • Previous forklift operation experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to successfully complete company certification requirements
  • Previous receiving, inventory control, warehouse, or distribution experience preferred
  • Ability to accurately verify shipments, quantities, and inventory records
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management and inventory systems
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing warehouse work for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and move heavier loads using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, or other equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
  • Willingness to learn new skills, equipment operation, and safety procedures
  • Regular and Timely Attendance
