Job Summary:
The full-time Crew Leader manages and works with their team, oversees the daily operation of services, and operates vehicles and equipment in a safe manor. The Crew Leader provides quality services and performs the indicated activities that meet or exceed our customer’s expectations. All employees require a friendly, customer focused attitude and must always conduct themselves in a professional manner. Responsibilities:
  • Represent REC Lawns in a professional manner with a high level of integrity.
  • Safely drive a truck and landscape trailer.
  • Being timely, organized, while being able to plan and prioritize work.
  • Decision making and problem solving.
  • Provide and receive information with Clients, Managers and Co-workers by telephone, email, and in-person.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
  • Document Information – Capture information received from customers and record time in and out at each job site.
  • Be able to use a tablet day to day for schedule and routing purposes.
  • Communicate with clients regarding questions about their services or additional service options.
  • Repair and maintain equipment – Service (sharpening blades and changing oil), repair, tune, and test equipment to be sure that they operate properly.
  • Perform daily preparation of equipment to include:
  • Loading and unloading all equipment and tools on vehicles.
  • Refueling all equipment with gas.
  • Securing all equipment safely in trailers and trucks.
  • Perform end of the day duties to include:
  • Completing timesheets of team members.
  • Report inventory needs and any equipment repairs.
  • Review days activities and preparation for next day.
  • Unload equipment and material; clean and store properly.
  • Clean out the trucks & trailers and prepare them for next day.
Must have experience with these services:
  • Mowing and edging of turf.
  • Mulching, aerating, seeding, weeding, and trimming.
  • Pruning and installation of trees, shrubs, hedges, and plants.
  • Leaf and debris removal.
  • Gutter Cleaning.
  • Fertilization and Pesticide application.
  • Snow and ice removal from parking lots, driveways, and walkways.
  • Safely operate powered equipment and hand tools such as:
  • Mowers (walk behinds, zero turns, push mowers, etc.)
  • Blowers/ Edgers/ String trimmers
  • Aerators
  • Hedge trimmers, clippers & pruning saws
  • Shovels/ Rakes/ Saws
  • Sprayers/ Spreaders/ Snow blowers
Qualifications required:
  • Minimum 3-year experience in a Lawn Care Supervisory position and 5-years performing landscaping duties.
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use a mobile software application daily.
  • Valid (clean) Driver’s License and DOT Physical Card.
  • Perform general physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your entire body, such as walking, climbing, standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Compensation:
  • Starting at $23.00- $33.00/Hour (Potentially more with exceptional experience and work ethic)
