Rebar Fabricator

Summary

The Rebar Fabricator manufactures steel rebar by cutting, bending, tying and performing other processes to meet order specifications. This position reports to the Rebar Supervisor.

Responsibilities/ Duties

· Sets up machinery properly.

· Performs checks on completed orders.

· Accurately measures and cuts rebar according to orders/ specs.

· Assists in loading orders onto company and customer trucks.

· Adheres to all safety procedures and policies according to company and OSHA standards.

· Maintains a neat and organized work area.

· Responds to customer/client inquiries and correspondence in a timely and professional manner.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/ Abilities

· Ability to accurately and safely operate equipment

· Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers

· Excellent attention to detail

· Strong multi-tasking and project management skills

Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Previous rebar or construction experience preferred

Physical Requirements

· Prolonged periods standing

· Physical mobility to climb stairs, push and pull, and operate machinery

· Ability to withstand working in extreme weather conditions (heat and cold)

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
