Job Description: We are seeking a Sales Associate to collaborate with our New Home Sales Consultant (NHC) in the sales process, to facilitate the acquisition of new home sales. As a Sales Associate, you will learn, practice, and refine essential sales and marketing skills while adhering to company guidelines and performance standards. Your role will involve assisting the NHC in conducting competitive analyses, engaging with realtors, and maintaining community integrity on a daily basis. This position serves as a steppingstone for advancement to the New Home Consultant (NHC) role and requires weekend availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent M/I Homes with professionalism and a consistently positive, customerfocused demeanor.
  • Support the NHC in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies that drive division goals.
  • Apply companyprovided selling skills and training to engage customers effectively.
  • Ensure models and homesites are presented on time, maintained to high standards, and ready for customer visits.
  • Accurately register customers and enter all information with precision and attention to detail.
  • Maintain community signage for cleanliness, visibility, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the NHC on a variety of sales and marketing initiatives to support community success.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall team performance.

  • Strong communicator with skills in active listening, observation, negotiation, and organization

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general computer applications
  • College degree preferred but not required; equivalent training in sales or marketing accepted.
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience and/or relevant training
  • Demonstrates adaptability, creativity, resilience, and strong selfmotivation.

Benefits

Hourly Rate: $17.30 - $26.44 per hour. This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay for all hours worked in a workweek over 40.

This position is eligible for commission at the discretion of management, based upon considerations that include the division's and candidate's overall performance.
