Job Summary:

Trillium is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to join its investment team in Boston. This role will support Trilliumโ€™s central research function by conducting high-quality company and sector research, identifying attractive long-term investment opportunities, and contributing to the Approved List used by Portfolio Managers across strategies. The analyst will cover two to three sectors based on experience and team needs, with preferred expertise in Information Technology, Financials, Real Estate, or Communication Services. The successful candidate will bring strong fundamental research, financial modeling, valuation, and communication skills, along with the ability to integrate sustainability considerations into investment analysis. This is a Boston-based role with an expectation that employees work in the office two to three days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fundamental equity research on companies and sectors, integrating financial analysis and sustainability considerations into investment conclusions.
  • Cover two to three sectors based on experience and team needs, with preferred coverage in Information Technology, Financials, Real Estate, or Communication Services.
  • Develop company and sector research, financial models, valuation analysis, risk assessments, and investment recommendations.
  • Contribute to Trilliumโ€™s Approved List and support ongoing review of existing holdings and prospective investments.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, ESG research specialists, advocacy colleagues, and other internal partners.
  • Present research conclusions clearly in written reports, investment discussions, and internal presentations.
  • Engage professionally with company management teams, independent research providers, and other external research contacts as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience conducting fundamental equity research, including company analysis, sector research, financial modeling, valuation, and investment thesis development.
  • Preferred sector expertise in Information Technology, Communication Services, Financials, or Real Estate; experience in other sectors will also be considered.
  • Strong analytical skills, sound investment judgment, and the ability to evaluate companies through both financial and sustainability lenses.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present well-supported conclusions to investment colleagues.
  • Alignment with Trilliumโ€™s mission, values, responsible investing philosophy, and long-term investment discipline.
  • Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, strong prioritization skills, and a collaborative approach to working across teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI, or similar research and data platforms.
  • CFA designation and/or MBA preferred.

Compensation:

The expected base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $200,000, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus. Trillium Asset Management LLC offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), profit sharing, group life insurance, long-term disability coverage, health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and a performance-based bonus program.
