We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Real Estate Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the financial performance and oversight of our real estate portfolio-contributing directly to strategic investment decisions and operational excellence.


You'll work at the intersection of finance, operations, and real estate strategy, providing insights that drive smart decision-making while ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.


What you'll do


Financial Oversight & Investment Support

  • Analyze and support financial requests related to renovations, major maintenance, and capital investment (CAPEX) projects
  • Ensure compliance with budgets and financial frameworks
  • Partner with stakeholders throughout the investment approval and tracking process

Lease & Payment Management

  • Prepare and maintain lease-related financial schedules to support rent payments
  • Monitor lease financial obligations and ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth and reliable financial flows

Budgeting & Financial Insights

  • Contribute to the development, monitoring, and analysis of real estate budgets (retail and wholesale)
  • Deliver financial insights to support cost optimization, risk mitigation, and strategic decisions
  • Provide leadership with clear, data-driven recommendations

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain and enhance financial dashboards and reporting tools
  • Produce recurring reports for key stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, clarity, and efficiency

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a strong asset)
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in the real estate sector
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with real estate accounting systems and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel)
  • Bilingual (French & English)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
