SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 2-3 years of experience to join its nationally recognized Real Estate group. The role involves advising on sophisticated real estate capital markets and private equity transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, financings, development projects, distressed debt investments, and commercial leasing matters. The associate will work closely with cross-practice teams, including public finance, energy & infrastructure, and restructuring, on complex, high-profile matters across changing market cycles.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Advise clients on complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and investments
- Support structuring, drafting, and negotiation of joint ventures, financings, and development deals
- Assist with distressed debt transactions and commercial leasing matters
- Conduct due diligence, legal research, and document preparation
- Collaborate with attorneys across public finance, energy & infrastructure, and restructuring practices
- Help clients identify opportunities and manage transactional risk in evolving markets
- Support execution of high-value, multi-party real estate deals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 years of relevant real estate experience at a law firm
- Experience in real estate capital markets and complex transactional work preferred
- Admission to a U.S. State Bar and compliance with jurisdictional requirements
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Excellent client service and communication abilities
- High level of motivation with strong academic credentials
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
