Job description

Part-time, 23 hours per week retail sales position working at our 2-acre outdoor showroom and office. Option to become full time is possible. Good work could lead to more hours. We have a fun and often fast paced environment where we get to help people reach their dreams for their property through providing awesome accessory structures!

Tasks: Selling buildings from our product line, following up on leads, performing customer service, providing knowledgeable product information and helping guide prospective clients toward the building that is right for them. Closing sales and performing necessary sales transaction steps.

Skills Required:

  • Friendly and people oriented: This is a sales position and a friendly and engaging demeanor is paramount to creating an inviting sales environment. Must be comfortable talking with people.

  • Honesty and integrity are of utmost importance.

  • Must be comfortable with Windows OS and functioning in a browser based app environment: Sales orders and customer followup are done in Excel, Google Sheets, and various browser based apps. Will provide training as needed on specific apps but you need to know your way around a computer.

  • Good phone skills.

  • Email- must have basic understanding of using Gmail-will provide additional training as needed.

  • Capable of walking on the uneven terrain of our two-acre outdoor showroom to show the display models to prospective clients.

  • Able to process detail and read, digest and understand product details. Our product line is highly customizable with many options, so you must be able to handle lots of details.

  • Steady under pressure as you may often have multiple clients at the showroom and/or in the office at the same time.

  • Initiative and self motivation: Once fully trained there will be periods of unsupervised work.

  • Able to handle correction and "own your mistakes" as you will make errors during the learning process.

  • Collaborative to create better building options for our clients.

  • Training: On the job training provided.

Experience: Sales experience is a plus. Some knowledge of construction is a plus.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage of $17/hr. with opportunities to increase

  • Paid monthly, last business day of the month

  • This is a W-2 job with direct deposit, taxes withheld and workers compensation provided. Must be able to provide proof of employment eligibility. 401K available after 90 day probationary period.

Days of work: Friday 9-5, Saturday 10-5, Tuesday 9-5 plus other days to cover when needed, which happens often.
