Part-Time Maintenance Worker

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

SUPERVISOR: Maintenance Supervisor DATE: April 24, 2022

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To assist the Maintenance Supervisor in the day-to-day upkeep for the property, grounds maintenance, and maintenance procedures.

This is a part-time (20 hours a week) position. The part-time maintenance worker performs manual work including basic grounds maintenance and improvements and assists with more involved tasks and projects (including irrigation, landscaping, etc.). Performs outside maintenance and improvements. Assists in identifying maintenance needs.

The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing established company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Ground Maintenance – Maintains grounds in clean and orderly manner including mowing, trimming, raking, weeding, aerating and fertilizing lawns; replaces plants as needed; maintains ground equipment (lawn mower, weed eater, saws); trims tree branches/bushes that create hazardous situations.

1. Assists in maintaining a well-organized, clean, neat workshop and tool room.

2. Maintains all tools in good-working order.

3. Cleans up after every job and test the equipment to be assured it is in proper working order.

4. Attends in-service educational programs and staff meetings.

5. Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
