Description:
Midland Elementary School looks to hire an energetic, highly motivated Title I reading teacher to provide Tier II and Tier III reading support to students in grades K-4. Duties include daily small group reading instruction, regular assessment, monitoring of student progress and planning for interventions. The Title I teacher works collaboratively with classroom teachers, Title I Director, Reading Specialist to monitor student progress and communicate with classroom teachers and parents about student progress.
Job Summary:
Besides day-to-day instruction, planning and scheduling of reading intervention activities, successful applicants will also demonstrate excellent organizational skills, possess the ability to communicate efficiently and work collaboratively with parents, colleagues, administrators and possess skills and knowledge for effectively working with and teaching at-risk students.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold appropriate certifications and/or approvals for teaching elementary reading (Reading endorsement or Reading Specialist certification).
Working Conditions:
As per Collective Bargaining Agreement.
