Search & Comparison IntentDevelopers choosing between React with TypeScript or JavaScriptDevelopers evaluating React with JavaScript or TypeScript

React TypeScript and React JavaScript are both popular choices for front-end development. TypeScript adds static typing to React, improving code quality and maintainability, especially in large projects. JavaScript is more flexible and easier for quick prototyping. The choice depends on project size, team expertise, and specific requirements.

What are some common challenges faced by React TypeScript developers when integrating with backend APIs?

One frequent challenge for React TypeScript developers is ensuring strong type safety when consuming data from backend APIs, especially when API responses can be inconsistent or evolve over time. Developers must often create or update TypeScript interfaces to accurately reflect the shape of the data, handle potential null or undefined values, and use type guards to ensure robustness. Collaborating closely with backend teams and maintaining clear API documentation can help mitigate these challenges and streamline the integration process.

What are React TypeScript developers?

React TypeScript developers are software engineers who specialize in building user interfaces using the React JavaScript library combined with TypeScript, a statically typed superset of JavaScript. They leverage TypeScript's type safety to write more reliable and maintainable React components and applications. Their role typically involves creating interactive web applications, ensuring code quality, and collaborating with designers and backend developers. React TypeScript developers are in high demand due to the popularity of both React and TypeScript in modern web development.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a React TypeScript Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a React TypeScript Developer, you need a strong grasp of JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, and a good understanding of front-end development best practices, typically backed by a degree in computer science or related experience. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, modern build tools, and package managers (such as Webpack, npm/yarn), as well as experience with REST APIs and testing frameworks, is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are vital soft skills in this role. These skills ensure robust, maintainable codebases, effective teamwork, and the delivery of high-quality user interfaces.

Job description

Location: Remote (Europe)
Employment: Full-time

???? About Our Client

Our client is building a cutting-edge AI-powered cryptocurrency trading platform. The product delivers automated trading bots (DCA, Grid, Quantum), portfolio management tools, real-time market data, and multi-exchange integrations (Binance, Bybit, OKX, and others).

Their mission: to provide institutional-grade trading capabilities with consumer-grade UX — making advanced trading accessible, fast, and reliable.

???? What You’ll Do

As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll be at the center of creating an intuitive, high-performance trading experience:

  • Ship real-time trading features in React 18+ with TypeScript.

  • Design data flows with Redux Toolkit, Redux-Saga, and React Query (caching, optimistic updates, real-time sync).

  • Integrate APIs & live feeds via REST + WebSockets for order books, balances, and notifications.

  • Craft responsive UIs with Tailwind CSS + Styled Components, ensuring a seamless mobile-first experience.

  • Deliver rich visuals like candlestick charts, P&L dashboards, and live market visualizations using ApexCharts or similar.

  • Optimize performance with code-splitting, lazy loading, bundle budgets, and profiling.

  • Implement secure auth flows (JWT, OAuth, 2FA) and manage exchange API keys safely.

  • Contribute to internationalization (13+ languages, including RTL).

  • Raise the bar by mentoring peers, reviewing code, and shaping front-end architecture.

????‍???? You’ll Be a Strong Fit If You Have
  • Solid expertise in React (18+) + TypeScript and modern ES2020+.

  • Hands-on experience with Redux Toolkit, Redux-Saga, and React Query in production.

  • Proven work on real-time systems (WebSockets, live market data, large datasets).

  • Experience with charting libraries (ApexCharts, Highcharts, D3, etc.) including live updates.

  • Strong understanding of performance optimization.

  • Awareness of secure authentication flows and API key management.

Leveling guidance:

  • Mid-level: ~3–5 years React/TS experience.

  • Senior-level: 5+ years with architectural or product-wide impact.
???? Impact > years of experience: if you can demonstrate senior-level contributions, you’ll be considered at that level.

✨ Bonus Skills
  • Trading/fintech background (order forms, risk, real-time systems).

  • Testing with Jest + React Testing Library.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Monitoring/analytics (Sentry, Datadog, PostHog).

  • Experience with PWAs or Web3/wallet integrations.

???? What Makes You Stand Out
  • Problem-solving mindset in complex, data-heavy contexts.

  • Collaborative and proactive in Agile teams.

  • Clear communication, clean documentation, thoughtful peer reviews.

???? What Success Looks Like

You’ll deliver high-impact features for a global trading audience, ensure the platform is fast, reliable, and secure, and shape the front-end architecture of a product scaling at speed.
